The Historic Trust invites you to the beautiful Providence Academy chapel to hear music historian Joel Underwood perform his brand-new show. Not Fade Away: Stories and Songs of Buddy Holly, a Providence Academy Concert presented by Columbia Invest & Insure, is sure to engage and delight!

In an evening that combines humor, toe-tapping, and tears, Underwood returns to Vancouver to tell the story of Holly’s humble beginnings, two years as a rock icon, and sudden, tragic death in 1959. Who was “Peggy Sue”? What movie inspired “That’ll Be The Day”? It’s an evening at the theater that leaves audiences saying, “Oh Boy”!

The concert will take place Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 6:00pm. Doors open at 5:30pm with first-come, first-served seating. Tickets are $18.00 (including all taxes and fees) and will only be sold in advance. The chapel is located inside Providence Academy on the second floor at 400 E. Evergreen Blvd. Vancouver, WA 98660. Parking is available in the east lot next to the Academy. To purchase tickets, please visit our events page at: https://www.thehistorictrust.org/calendar/providence-academy-concert/. Questions?
