North Coast Symphonic Band Gets Toes Tapping with “The Art of Dance”. In music, dance-style works take on many forms to create an exciting eclectic mix that stretches from marches to ballet theater. Playing selections from symphonic works to polkas, there will be something for everyone (even those of us who have two left feet!).
The program includes “Belle of the Ball” by Leroy Anderson, “Beguine for Band” by Glenn Osser, and “A Short Ballet for Awkward Dancers” by Herbert Hazelman. NCSB Board President Brian Bergman will be the concert’s emcee. Local saxophone quartet Quadrophone will perform concert prelude music from 1:30 to 1:55 PM while the audience gathers.
Admission is free for high school students. Middle school students and younger are also admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Doors open at 1:00 PM. Be sure to visit our Lower Lobby concessions for drinks and snacks to enjoy during the show.
