Shanghai Acrobats presents Grand Shanghai Circus, a troupe that has been captivating audiences of all ages for more than thirty years across the United States, including two six‑week Broadway engagements. Widely recognized as one of the finest acrobatic productions introducing young people to the magic of live theatre, the company was awarded Best Variety Show in Branson, MO, for its continual display of world‑class athleticism, precision, and artistry from its acrobats, jugglers, and contortionists.

Many of their breathtaking acts trace their origins to traditional harvest festivals passed down through the centuries. It’s no wonder The New York Times reported, “Shanghai Circus is providing entertainment in abundance!”

Each performer showcases a range of demanding skills that exemplify the traditions of the Chinese circus—offering a refreshing alternative to Western-style productions. From the daring, high‑altitude climbing chair stack—about which The New York Times wrote, “these acrobats provide feats of circus art that reach breathtaking heights of skill”—to the exhilarating, gravity‑defying hoop‑diving sequence, the show continually raises the bar just when you think you’ve seen it all.

These acts, along with many more surprises, create a marvelous and thrilling theatrical experience for “youngsters” from nine to ninety‑two. As CBS News once declared: “FANTASTIC!”
