Last updated: October 1, 2026. Confluence Culture uses a small set of cookies and similar storage, including Google Analytics to measure site traffic. Our own first-party analytics stay off until you opt in.
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to work — sign-in sessions (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite where applicable), security (CSRF), and basic preferences. These are always on and are not used for advertising.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited, how people arrive, and general device and location information. It loads on every page and sets its own cookies (such as _ga), and the data is processed by Google. It is not affected by the analytics choice below. You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
First-party analytics (optional)
If you choose Accept analytics, we record anonymous product events (for example listing views and shares) in our own database via /api/analytics. We do not load third-party ad trackers. Declining keeps these events off.
Cloudflare Turnstile
On some forms (for example reporting a listing), we may load Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce abuse. That is a security control, not advertising.
