 arks and Recreation\, Friends of Tideman Johnson\, and Johnson Creek Water
 shed Council in caring for this natural area. A diversity of native plants
  supports a diversity of insects and wildlife\, providing clean air and wa
 ter in our city. Volunteer will likely be removing undesirable plants\, pi
 cking up trash\, and planting native plants but tasks will shift as needs 
 change on the site. No experience necessary and everyone is welcome! Regis
 ter HereParking: Park near the intersection of SE 37th Avenue and SE Tenin
 o Street (please be respectful of neighbors and do not block driveways or 
 mailboxes). If you are taking public transit\, bus 75 drops riders off at 
 SE Johnson Creek & Springwater Corridor Trail\, and the MAX Orange line dr
 ops riders off at the Johnson Creek stop. Both are about a 15-minute walk 
 to the meeting point (service is irregular on weekends).Children are welco
 me and any child under 14 years of age needs to be accompanied by an atten
 tive adult. Accessibility: There is a stroll down a steep paved hill to ge
 t to the meeting location. The event will require bending over and walking
  on uneven surfaces. A portable restroom will be available at this site (n
 ot ADA compliant).Getting Ready for the EventThank you for helping to keep
  Portland parks healthy and beautiful! Here are a few tips to get you read
 y for your stewardship event. Registration is required for all stewardship
  events.All tools\, gloves and training to do the task is provided.Stay ho
 me if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness or have had 
 recent contact with someone exhibiting symptoms of any illness.In order to
  ensure your comfort and safety\, please remember to dress for the weather
 \, wear close-toed shoes\, bring a water bottle\, and be ready to get dirt
 y! While groups are welcome to join many of our regularly scheduled stewar
 dship events\, please contact the event coordinator listed in the descript
 ion before arriving with a large group. This will ensure that there are en
 ough gloves and tools for everyone to work.If you are looking for communit
 y service to fulfill court requirements\, please call 503-823-5121. You mu
